Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

We stayed at The Westin Southfield Detroit for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Traveling with our dog was easy since the hotel is pet friendly. We also enjoyed breakfast each morning, and having free parking with our stay was a great bonus. The hotel is only about 20 minutes from downtown Detroit, making it a convenient location. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the entire stay was relaxing. We'd definitely stay here again!

This was my third business trip staying at this property, and unfortunately, the age of the hotel is starting to show. Check-in was quick and efficient, which I appreciated. However, while my room was comfortable overall, it clearly needed some attention to detail. The bathtub had a noticeable rust stain near the drain, and the shower curtain also had visible stains, issues that detract from the overall experience. On the positive side, housekeeping was consistent and did a good job during my stay. I also enjoyed breakfast, and my waitress was attentive and provided great service. I didnβt park at the hotel this time, but based on prior experience, the parking garage remains a concern. There is a fee for overnight parking, yet there doesnβt seem to be any control over who can enter or park there. Some vehicles appear to have been sitting in the garage since my visit a year ago, which raises questions about security and management. At this point, it feels like the property is overdue for a major renovation. Iβve continued staying here due to my companyβs preferred rate and its convenient location near our Southfield office, but I may need to start exploring other options as the over

Latrice at the front desk is an all-star. Hotel is lovely, parking garage is convenient. The drinks, food and service in the bar were terrific. Breakfast was perfectly decent but not anything special. The only negative is the extreme amount of scent they pump through the hotel. I understand why they have rooms specifically with purifiers, etc. It was too much for my companion's asthma.
